A Message From The President

A heartfelt message from the President

Open Letter to Nigerians

Fellow Nigerians,

As we come close to the end of the first tenure of this administration, I stand before you to acknowledge the profound resilience you have demonstrated during this period of necessary, albeit challenging, reforms. The Launch of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” (RTIFN) initiative is not merely a slogan, but a mandate to redirect our country from the precipice of fiscal disaster to a path of enduring prosperity.

For decades, the corrupt subsidy regime and multiple foreign exchange windows choked our nation’s potential, acting as a drain on our collective wealth. When we inherited this situation, we knew the road to recovery would require immense sacrifice. That is why I took the tough, essential decisions to stop our country from plunging into a free-fall. I am here to affirm that our reforms are working.

The Renewed Hope agenda is bringing undeniable progress. By blocking leakages and implementing rigorous financial reforms, we have doubled government revenues. Inflation is beginning to moderate, and we are witnessing a substantial reduction in the prices of staple foods. Furthermore, we are enhancing national security to ensure the safety of every citizen and to create an environment where investments can thrive.

We are committed to building a fairer Nigeria. We are investing billions in critical infrastructure. From road networks to power, agriculture, and digital technology—that will create jobs and improve the quality of life. The “Renewed Hope” Ward Development Programme is bringing economic empowerment to the grassroots, aiming to touch 10 million lives by targeting 1,000 people across all 8,809 wards.

I hear your concerns about the rising cost of living, and I assure you that our goal is to turn this temporary hardship into lasting prosperity. We are supporting local industries and investing in the youth through technology and creative arts initiatives.

As your President, I pledge to continue this work with dedicated patriotism. The worst is behind us, and the future is bright. Let us choose hope over fear, and unity over division. Together, we will build a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria.

Thank you, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
